The show begins with a "cold start" clip which begins before the opening credits and logo. It is the Nancy Comedy Quiz, which you play with your remote channel changer. If you answer wrong, you press 02, the right answers are 08. In all cable areas, 08 will leave you tuned to the Abominable Showman, while 02 will change you to Lifetime reruns of "Cagney and Lacy"

The Nancy Awards, part 1.

Nancy presents the awards for the best videos of the previous year. Winners and presenters include:

  • Uncle Stupid, Best Kiddie Show
  • Count Hands, best SF/Horror
  • Don Del Ditto, best infomercial
  • Koko (the gorilla who speaks in sign), best intellectual content
  • Daffo (who is now a hip, slimeball, "let's do lunch", lounge kind of clown)
The Nancy Awards are the first episodes to be presented in the twin cinematic miracles of Nance-o-rama and Nance-around.
